Do you love acting, improv, and stepping into bold, dramatic characters? Are you looking for paid performance work where you’re not confined to a stage, but fully immersed in the experience?
Songbirds & Sunshine Entertainment is currently casting actors, improvisers, and character performers for our interactive Murder Mystery Party Experiences across Northern Virginia and the DMV.
Performers will portray a range of engaging roles, including suspicious suspects, glamorous socialites, mysterious strangers, and dramatic villains and heroes—all while interacting with guests, delivering clues, and keeping the story unfolding in real time.
What This Is
These are live, immersive entertainment experiences hosted at a variety of venues, including luxury apartment communities, corporate events, private parties, and senior living or themed events. Performers are not simply acting—they are actively engaging, improvising, and bringing each story to life alongside the audience.
Paid Opportunities

Who We’re Looking For
Ideal candidates are comfortable performing and improvising, able to remain in character, and enjoy interacting with a wide range of people. We value individuals who are reliable, professional, and bring strong energy to their work. Experience in acting, improv, theater, or cosplay is helpful but not required.
Audition Details
Auditions are designed to be engaging and low-pressure. Participants will be asked to read short character sides, improvise with direction, and explore character dynamics. No memorized monologues are required.
